The world of Thedas is in chaos. A massive, mysterious breach has torn open the sky, unleashing demons upon the land. Mages and templars are locked in a devastating war, and nations are in turmoil. In this time of crisis, I am the unlikely survivor of the cataclysm, branded with a mark that gives me the power to close these rifts. I am the Herald of Andraste, and it is my duty to lead a new organization, the Inquisition, to restore order and uncover the forces behind the chaos.
Dragon Age: Inquisition is a heroic, epic-scale role-playing game that puts me at the head of a powerful organization. I don’t just control my character; I command an entire army. From my fortress at Skyhold, I make decisions that shape the political landscape of Thedas. I send my agents and armies on missions across the continent, forge alliances with powerful factions, and pass judgment on my enemies. I feel the weight of leadership as I work to expand the Inquisition’s influence and power.
A World to Save:
- Vast and Varied Exploration: The game features massive, diverse regions for me to explore, from the lush forests of the Hinterlands to the desolate wastes of the Western Approach. Each area is filled with quests, secrets to uncover, and resources to gather for the Inquisition. I can spend dozens of hours in a single zone, hunting dragons, closing rifts, and helping the local populace.
- A Party of Unforgettable Companions: I do not lead alone. I recruit a party of complex and memorable companions, each with their own personality, motivations, and personal quests. I can fight alongside the stoic Grey Warden, Blackwall; the witty and charming mage, Dorian; or the enigmatic Qunari mercenary, The Iron Bull. Building relationships with my companions is a core part of the experience, and my choices can lead to friendship, romance, or bitter rivalry.
- Tactical and Action-Oriented Combat: The combat system offers the best of both worlds. I can engage in fast-paced, real-time action, directly controlling my character and their abilities. Or, I can switch to the tactical view at any time, which pauses the game and gives me an overhead perspective. From here, I can issue precise commands to each member of my party, setting up powerful ability combinations and controlling the flow of battle. This flexibility allows me to play exactly how I want.
I believe Dragon Age: Inquisition is a masterful RPG that perfectly balances a grand, world-saving narrative with personal, character-driven stories. The feeling of building the Inquisition from nothing into a force that can change the world is incredibly rewarding. If you are ready to lead, the fate of Thedas is in your hands.
