Metro Exodus

I invite you to leave the ruins of the Moscow Metro and embark on an incredible, year-long journey across a post-apocalyptic Russia in Metro Exodus. This is the third chapter in the acclaimed Metro series, and it takes the claustrophobic horror and intense action of its predecessors into vast, non-linear sandbox levels. I play as Artyom, and along with a band of Spartan Rangers, I must flee the shattered tunnels of Moscow aboard a heavily modified steam locomotive, the Aurora, in search of a new life in the East.

Metro Exodus is a masterclass in atmosphere and immersion. The world is both beautiful and terrifyingly hostile. As I travel through the seasons, each new region presents its own unique challenges, from the frozen banks of the Volga in winter to the sun-scorched deserts of the Caspian Sea in summer. I must contend with deadly mutated creatures, hostile human factions, and the ever-present threat of radiation. Survival is a constant struggle. I have to scavenge for materials to craft vital equipment and ammunition, maintain my gas mask and filters, and keep my weapons clean to prevent them from jamming in the middle of a firefight.

• Incredible Sandbox Survival: For the first time in the series, I can explore large, open-ended levels that offer a new sense of freedom. Each level is a self-contained world with its own story, characters, and ecosystems. I can choose to tackle objectives head-on or use stealth to silently eliminate my enemies. The dynamic weather and a full day-night cycle further enhance the immersion and tactical possibilities.
• Deep Weapon Customization: I can customize my arsenal of handmade weapons in the field using a new crafting system. I can swap out scopes, barrels, magazines, and stocks to adapt my firearms for any situation. Whether I need a silenced pistol for a stealthy approach or a high-powered rifle for long-range encounters, I can modify my gear on the fly.
• A Gripping, Character-Driven Story: At its heart, Metro Exodus is a story about hope, family, and the search for a place to call home. The relationships I build with the other members of the Aurora’s crew are central to the narrative. My decisions throughout the journey have consequences and will determine the fate of my companions.
